OUR TEAM
In 2015, Barb Anselm started the winery with her son Nickolas, and his son, Evan. Barb transitioned and retired from Xerox after 34 years, most of which were in marketing. Nick and Evan split their time between their heating and cooling business and the winery. We began planting the vineyard in 2015, made our first wines three years later, and opened our tasting room in 2022. Everyone helps with planting, mowing, pruning, and harvesting in the vineyard. Barb and Nick are the primary winemakers and mead makers.
Brother David has been critical in maintaining the vineyard, mowing, pruning, and tying the vines. He is passionate about the vineyard and is indispensable to the team. He also helps the winery with bottling, labeling, blending, tasting, or anything else needed.
Many family members gather to help at harvest time, including David Anselm, Marie Anselm, Vicky Anselm, John Sauter, Anne Beers, and BJ Fearrington. They can always be counted on to assist in our hand-picked harvest.
Sister, Jo Gehm and her husband Barry help out when they can and provide long-distance support to the team.
